Join the Castine Historical Society and the Wilson Museum for a Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 8 from 4-6 PM. This free event takes place at the Castine Historical Society’s Grindle House at 13 School Street on the Town Common and the Hutchins Education Center at 112 Perkins Street on the Wilson Museum campus.
Visitors can kick-off the holiday season by going between these two institutions to enjoy light refreshments and outdoor fire pits. Visit both sites and be entered to win a fun gift basket!
At the Wilson Museum guests can enjoy a fun make-and-take craft session. The Castine Historical Society will be giving special behind-the-scenes tours of the 1850 Grindle House including sneak peeks into collections storage. Also offered will be a unique holiday shopping experience for those wanting to kick-start their gift giving.
Both institutions are using this event to partner with H.O.M.E. in an effort to deliver food to local families in need. We encourage you to drop off shelf-stable foods at either location.
We recommend COVID precautions based on the CDC’s Community Level for Hancock County. For questions, please call either the Wilson Museum at 207-326-9247 or the Castine Historical Society at 207-326-4118.
