Castine Historical Society Opens Downtown Christmas Pop-Up Shop For Small Business Saturday

Castine, Maine: Castine is a great place for holiday shopping this year, with several new stores opening downtown, along with other businesses hosting pop-up shops. The Castine Historical Society is joining the excitement with their own Christmas Pop-Up Shop hosted by Saltmeadow Properties at 7 Main Street. The shop will open:

  • Saturday, November 24th from 10 AM-4 PM for Small Business Saturday
  • Monday, November 26-Friday, December 21
  • Monday-Friday from 9-4 and Saturdays by chance

Nautical ornaments are among the merchandise for sale at the Castine Historical Society’s downtown Castine Pop-Up Shop.

For those unable to make these hours, items can also be purchased on-line at www.CastineHistoricalSociety.org and be either shipped or picked up at the Historical Society.

Among the items available for purchase are Castine or nautical-themed clothing, gifts, Christmas ornaments, mugs, and books for children and adults. Another fantastic giving opportunity is purchasing a gift membership to the Castine Historical Society for friends or family.

While the Castine Historical Society exhibits are closed for the 2018 season, the Grindle House offices and research library located at 13 School Street, Castine are open year-round. Researchers are welcome by advance appointment.
