Each year, the Castine Historical Society hosts an open house on the front lawn of the Historical Society to officially celebrate the beginning of the season. Exhibits in the Abbott School will be open for viewing, giving both members and the public alike a chance to connect with friends, socialize over interesting and exciting exhibits, and enjoy a day on the Castine town common. The event is free, and refreshments will be served.
In the event of bad weather, the rain date will be Sunday, June 27 at the same 4-6 PM time.
We still aren’t free from Covid, so we will be limiting the number of people viewing the exhibits at once, and masks will be required unless eating or drinking. But we are excited to open our exhibits for the season, and to share Castine history with visitors again. We hope you’ll join us!
