A Maine native, Susie’s family moved to Castine in the early 1970’s where her family lived in the Dyce’s Headlight keeper’s house.
Susie met her husband David, a Castine native, on the corner of Water St. They attended high school together and were married in the Main Street Church. For the past 40 plus years they have been busy running a contracting business in Castine. Susie has been continually involved with the community, serving on several boards and being active in various organizations. David and Susie have two children. Betsy and Josh, who both live and work in Maine, four grandchildren and 2 Labrador retrievers.
Susie has served on the Castine Historical Society board previously, as Treasurer for 10 years, Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of several committees. She currently serves on the Finance, Exhibit, and Development Committees. She looks forward to rejoining the board and is excited to see the Historical Society continue to grow.
