Kelly and her husband Paul are from New York and have always been drawn to the water. Their children include Paul II who attends MMA and Stephanie who will be in 7th grade at the Adams School. The family became year round residents in August 2016 when Kelly started employment as the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management at Maine Maritime Academy. She has worked in higher education since obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, beginning at Rutgers University, Montclair State University, West Point and then for close to ten years at the Merchant Marine Academy before she “jumped ship” to MMA. Since beginning her Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership two years ago, she has reduced the amount of volunteer work to include the CHS Educational Committee, the Wilson Museum 100th Anniversary Advisory Council, and the Castine Historic Preservation Committee as an alternate member. She looks forward to completing her dissertation over this upcoming year focusing on improving the Mathematics Curriculum and requirements in the State of Maine.
